How do I find a suitable job?

A complete profile is essential
Before starting your search, ensure your profile is as complete as possible. Pet owners will scrutinize it before contacting you, similar to a resume in a traditional job application.

Before applying, check your profile for completeness:

  • Upload a nice photo of yourself
  • Ask former employers for positive reviews: You can request up to 2 reviews from outside the platform!
  • Write an appealing description of your services
  • Check if your hourly rate aligns with other pet sitters in your region
  • You can upload reference letters, work certificates, diplomas, certificates, or other relevant proof of experience at any time under "Documents"

Carefully read job offers
Once you find a suitable offer, read it thoroughly to see if all details suit you. It's best to apply only to suitable job offers. This way, you'll have the best chance of getting your desired job.

Personalized messages
Take your time with your applications and write a personalized message for each job offer. Be specific about the advertised job to demonstrate your interest and increase your chances of landing your dream job.

Stay updated on current jobs
In the search results, you can sort jobs by creation date. This way, you'll always see the latest jobs at the top of the list and can apply quickly.

Check login dates
Occasionally check the login date of the client, especially if a job offer was posted some time ago. A general rule of thumb: Last login today, yesterday, or this week – apply! Last login this month or more than a month ago: reconsider.

Radius of your search
Consider that it's much easier if the workplace is nearby rather than having to travel a long distance each time. Think about which locations are easily accessible for you and which are not suitable.
