What kind of pet care is the right one for me?
Depending on the individual needs of you and your pet, our dog and cat sitters provide various services. But what kinds of pet care are there and which one is right for you and your animal friend?
Dog walking service – provided by a dog sitter
A dog walking service provided by a mobile dog sitter is suitable for you if you are unable to walk your four-legged friend yourself. A dog sitter will give your dog plenty of exercise and social interaction with other dogs.
Depending on the agreement, the dog sitter will collect your dog from your home and take it for a one to two-hour walk, either on its own or with other dogs. It is a good idea to share important information with your dog sitter in advance, such as certain commands, for example.
Home visit by a mobile cat sitter
A home visit is ideal for pets that can be left on their own for extended periods, such as cats. Your mobile cat sitter will visit your home once or twice a day to look after your cat. This includes feeding, cleaning the food bowl and litter tray, playing, cuddling and possibly grooming.
Day care by a mobile dog sitter
If you are planning to be away and don’t want to leave your dog home alone, a mobile dog sitter can provide
day care. Full or half-day pet care is particularly suitable for very young and very old dogs that need a lot
of attention.
Remember to tell your dog sitter everything they need to know about your dog and its routine in advance to
ensure that your best friend is well looked after.
Overnight pet care – an alternative to dog boarding or cat boarding
Are you planning to be away for several days and want your dog or cat to be looked after overnight in familiar
surroundings? Some mobile dog sitters and cat sitters offer this overnight service.
To ensure that your pet sitter has all the important information about your dog or cat, show them where your pet’s
things are, such as where they usually sleep, their food (including how much to give them), toys, important
documents and contact details, as well as any medication if necessary.
Animal boarding – holiday care for your dog or cat
If you are travelling for an extended period, you can put your pet in a boarding facility. In these dog or cat
hotels, a pet sitter will usually look after several animals at the same time.
If you prefer animal members of your family to receive individual care in familiar surroundings, mobile pet
care (see ‘Overnight pet care’) in your own home is a good alternative.
